How to check a UK casino licence
A casino logo and familiar brand name do not tell you everything about the business behind a website. Start with the legal operator and the exact domain you are visiting.
- Find the legal business name.
Look in the operator’s footer and account terms. Note the stated licence number if one is provided. - Open the public register yourself.
Search the UK Gambling Commission business register using the business details. - Match the domain.
Check that the exact website appears under the relevant business entry. Similar names and spellings are not interchangeable. - Read the current status.
Look at the status and relevant licence information, not just the existence of a search result. - Resolve mismatches before proceeding.
If the business or domain does not match, do not assume the footer claim is enough.
What licensing does not establish
A regulatory licence is not a guarantee that you will win, that withdrawals will be instant or that an operator will meet every personal preference. You still need to read payment, promotion and account terms.

Multiple websites can be operated by one company. Check the account terms for how that relationship affects promotions, limits, complaints and other conditions. Do not infer those details from a shared logo or platform alone.
